Universal Studios Information

Universal Studio began as a nickelodeon or an arcade where people went to see short movie loops. Universal Studio Orlando was opened in 1990 and although it is set on only 110 acres of land it is closer to downtown Orlando and the International Drive areas. The complex also includes hotels, City Walk, the night time attraction and the newer Islands of Adventure, also set on 110 acres. The rides and entertainment at Universal studio tend to be a little edgier and many rides will get you wet so you might want to bring a change of clothes or wear a bathing suit if it's warm enough.

Transportation is readily available to and from the parks and it is wise to make these arrangements with the driver who picks you up at the airport, so that you will be able to plan your schedule to fit the needs of your group.

In addition to Universal a fun time can be had at CityWalk. CityWalk has no charge for entrance, but individual venue cover charges apply. City walk also has a state of the art theater.
Take your pick of first-run movies in one of the 20 theaters featuring wall-to-wall screens, state of-the-art projection and digital sound, and stadium-style seating with high backed rocking chairs.
